The natural alternative to plastic wrap/cling film for food storage. Made with organic cotton, beeswax, organic jojoba oil and tree resin. There are many ways to move towards a susatinable kitchen and this is a great step!

The Product

This is the Assorted 3 pack (other pack sizes available) containing

1 x Small (7" x 8"/18cm x 20cm) - wrap half a lemon, avocado or small snack.

1 x Medium (10" x 11"/ 25.5cm x 28cm) wrap cheese, carrots, herbs, or cover a bowl.

1 x Large (13" x 14"/33cm x 35.5cm) - wrap half a melon, baked goods or cover a large bowl.

Available in Purple Clover or the Standard Honeycomb - initially these sheets feel stiff but after one or 2 uses they become maleable. Use the heat of your hands to seal and use wherever you would normally use clingfilm!

Closing the Loop (Maintanence and Care)

Wash with cold water and soap and hang to dry. With proper care the sheets can last up to a year. Not suitable to use with MEAT or FISH.

All Beeswrap beeswax is sourced from sustainably-managed hives, it is reusable, biodegradable and compostable. At the end of your wrap’s useful life in the kitchen, cut the wrap into strips to add to your compost heap. Alternatively wrap them around pieces of kindling and use as a natural and effective fire starter.

In Summary....

This is a brilliant product that always comes in useful when you least expect it. For me it is a great product to really help you become less wasteful in the kitchen, as it is initially more pricey than its plastic alternative it helps you consider where and how you use it (could you use a box instead?) and in turn eliminates unnecessary use. It also helps keep food fresher and with no danger of anything nasty leaching into the food. This is also a great uniques, useful and thoughful present.

The Company

This is one of the first products we sourced as a new company in 2017 - The Beeswrap company started as one woman making each wrap in her home in Vermont in 2012 and their wraps are still made on their family holding but by a bigger team of people. We get our stock from a European eco distriubutor and we are hoping to add some more local options to our website early in 2019.
